This years Mountainstyle event went off. Ridersrefuge.co.uk went along with Stewart Monk who filmed some of the highlights and edited it together for us. Really well organised and unique event looking forward to next years already. (more…)

Episode 7 Features the Chatel Mountain Style contest in Chatel, France. We love Chatel! SeB Eee and his amazing mountain patrol are the kings of the French Alps. They have a vision of serious mountain riding that is so cool in that it incorporates big mountain, slopestyle, dirt jump and DH skills all into one blast down the “Face”. Long live Chatel!!

Les Lindarets lift down to the Chatel Burger Bar. Flowing track with lots of man made, multi-sized, jumps and berms.
The next-to-last stop of the iXS European Downhill Cup brought the downhill racers to the Portes du Soleil region. Châtel lying on the French side was already quite favourably received by the participants last year owing to the perfectly organised race and was successful even during its first year of establishing itself as a permanent component of the series. The diverse bike park provided again a demanding and, at the same time, flowing course for this year’s French stop in the series.

On a track created espacially for the event, of 300 m long ,160 m of difference in level ,100 m wide and completaly reshaped by the Châtel’s Bikes Patrols and RadicalFilms Riders, professional and amateur Riders will have to prove their multivalency in their way of “droping and riding”.
