The TransAM has an aggressive feel that let’s you attack the trail and easily choose your lines.
| Why do we love steel hardtails so much? Simple, they feel amazing on the trail and take you back to the roots of mountain biking. Sure full suspension bikes are great but there is nothing quite like the feel of riding a TransAM and being more connected to the trail. The TransAM has an aggressive feel that let’s you attack the trail and easily choose your lines. The 26″ wheels and tight wheelbase give the bike a playful feel that totally shreds up and down hills. Every mountain biker should have a steel hardtail trail bike in their quiver to remind them of where mountain biking came from.Of course we choose 4130 butted chromoly for this frame as it gives you unsurpassed trail feel. The ability to accelerate and pedal with the ultimate responsiveness while eating up the vibrations of rough trails is just one of the many reasons steel is our only choice. We finish the frame off with a 44mm headtube so you can run tapered forks, a custom seat tube so you can run adjustable posts, new 12x142mm dropouts for a super stiff rear end and our ED internal coating to protect the inside of the tubes from moisture. This is no ordinary steel frame.

“The TransAM is a fun bike that you can build up in a myriad of configurations including geared or single speed. With a bike design like the TransAM it can fit many molds and as such can it is not “perfect” in all situations. With that being said, it can also be the “perfect bike” for a trail that has a lot to offer on the way up and down. The TransAM is a bike that you can ride on a longer epic ride (should your body be up for the task) and offers some simplicity, comfort, and low maintenance when compared to most any other modern mountain bike. – Sicklines.com”

“In summary, this bike rips. Steel, no shifters or derailleurs, and a true all-mountain geometry make this rigid frame a go-to rig amongst my quiver of dualies. It’s secretly the bike I’ve always wanted, although far from the configuration I expected. So after a few months of testing in the exact environment this bike is designed to excel at, I don’t think I could ever go back to not having it. – Pinkbike.com”
