Product Description

The TR450 is our dedicated downhill racing machine. Heavily researched and selected with direct input from the Transition Racing Team, this is an aggressive geo built for speed and stability. With a careful ratio between chainstay length and head angle, the frame has a neutral feel in corners with good rider weight balance between the front and rear wheels. The TR450 gets 8.25” of travel from a 9.5” x 3” shock placed low in the front triangle. The linkage was tuned to provide a gradual change from beginning to ending leverage rate. The suspension ramps up very evenly through the travel to give the bike a supple top stroke and good bottom out control without excessive sag or mid stroke wallow. This result is a consistent progressive suspension feel that is predictable and yields a high amount of tunability. We set out to make the cleanest looking DH bike on the market that could be ridden hard and put away wet while being a dependable top level race bike you can trust.

Media Reviews

DIRT 100 TOP PRODUCTS Dirt Magazine names the TR450 one of the top 100 mountain bike products of 2010. Only a handful of DH bikes were selected and the TR450 made the list. View the Article Here.

DIRT MAGAZINE FULL REVIEW “Overall the TR450 is an incredibly clean bike then, the lines are flowing and there is no place for mud build–up. The one–piece swingarm with internal cable routing, the protected linkage and shock, it all seems very simple, but yet few companies really get this near. Transition, in taking care to look at what some people might see as minor details have created a very strong package. – Dirt Magazine” View the Full Reivew Here.

SICKLINES.COM FULL REIVEW “The TR450 was an easy bike to jump on and quickly become familiar with. Jumping felt easy and pretty intuitive on the bike. Changing lines was notably quite easy to unweight and reposition where it needed to be. On the faster rough terrain, the slack and low setup helped keep it stable and planted nicely. – Sicklines.com” View the Full Reivew Here.

SOUTHERN DOWNHILL FIRST IMPRESSIONS “The thing that really grabs you is the amazing ability to hit rocky, bumpy sections without the rear shock flinching. It dealt with every size hit in the same, composed way. The travel felt limitless but you knew exactly what it was going to do. This meant that you could concentrate on getting the line you want and even work the bike to pop off a lip. – Southern Downhill” View the Full Reivew Here.
