MTBCut: Lance McDermott is back

After a nasty injury sustained in a training accident last year (2009) Lance McDermott is back on track with a new sponsor in Saracen. Check out his progress and his efforts to get ready for Crankworx in this excellent (as usual) short film by MTBCut.tv

About Lance Mcdermott

Lance McDermott was born January 21, 1986. He is currently a professional freeride mountain biker. His hometown is Manchester England. He grew up around bmx and gradually transitioned to mountain biking. His sponsors include Adidas, Marzocchi, Park Tool, Monster Energy Drinks, Formula, O’Neal, Bussett, and Ogio.

He participated in his first mountain biking contest called Filthy48 around the age of only 19. During the contest he attempted a flip whip and broke his leg. He was later invited by Mike Hamel to compete in a Slopestyle contest. Lance placed fourth and that was the beginning of his mountain bike career. Since then he has received sponsor offers from prestigious clothing companies such as, 24Seven bikes.
He currently rides for Scott bikes, Adidas, Giro Helmets, and O’Neal26 pads. Lance McDermott enjoys mountain biking because it is his passion. Biking gives him the biggest adrenaline rush in his life.
