Pedros Master Tool Kit 3.0
Park Tool have traditionally ruled the roost when it comes to equipping professionals and shop mechanics, but Pedro’s have taken notes since the launch of their Master Tool Kit a few years ago and are releasing an update called the MTK 3.0 for 2010.
The US$939 (approx £580), 65-piece professional tool kit comes in a custom resin case, with a lifetime warranty. It includes refinements suggested by mechanics from the Garmin/Slipstream road team and LUNA Chix women’s team, and tools not found anywhere else, such as Pedro’s patent-pending Vise Whip, Torx Y and GO! chain lube.
“As a professional mechanic, my toolbox is my means to put food on the table,” said Damion Shanks, team mechanic and service course manager for Garmin/Slipstream, who are currently racing in the Tour de France. “Pedro’s new toolbox will be a great choice for any mechanic, be they a novice or wrenching for a ProTour team.
